Cold Case Quest: Jewel Rogers — chasing destino
On Dec. 3, 2016, Jewel Rogers was found by Columbus Police officers after being shot at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Rogers, a resident of the Short North area, was discovered near the intersection of E. Fulton St. and Fairwood Avenue inside of an empty duplex.
According to news reports, her mother believes that Rogers was with several people at the time of the homicide. She is hoping that someone comes forward with information.
There have been no arrests in the homicide. However, in 2019 someone was charged with tampering with evidence related to the Rogers case. At this time, I have not found out what happened to that person. If you know, let us know.
The homicide involved a really odd set of circumstances. The questions that people are probably asking are “Why was she in an empty duplex?” and “Why haven’t her friends said anything?”
30-year-old Rogers was the mother of four children who are still waiting for justice in this case. If you know anything about the homicide of Jewel Rogers, please come forward with information. There are links below with contact information.
