Quarantine Interview, Part 1: Ricky
During this crazy year of quarantine and social distancing, San Diego musician, Ricky, has been working on his solo album, “Palm Trees.” The album is available on bandcamp for your listening enjoyment. Keep reading to find out what else Ricky has been doing this year.
Where have you been staying in 2020?
I live in San Diego, CA … in the City Heights neighborhood to be more precise. That is where I have been the majority of this year.
What have you been doing during times of quarantine?
Well, after losing the ability to tour and play music and at the same time work at bars while I’m home I ended up jobless for the first half of the year. I sat at home like almost every other person on earth did. I spent all my time writing. Half way through the year a friend hired me as a driver for their dispensary so I’ve spent a good deal of time driving weed all over San Diego since then.
Have you found or re-found any hobbies?
I have been running this year, something I’ve done a ton throughout different times in my life. I really ran a lot this year, at least for me. I’ve already kind of fell off the good habit I made and need to get back on it. Maybe tomorrow.
What have you been listening to lately?
